Relationship Column by Shela Dean

deanDoes the idea of establishing deeper emotional intimacy with your significant other make your toes tingle, and put a smile on your face?

Are you caught in a downward cycle of tallying hurts and annoyances — how many times he's left his clothes on the floor, how she nags him about those clothes on the floor, that someone has told that same darned golf story...AGAIN? Would you like to discover how to deal with those hurts and annoyances in a positive way?

ffmMyVMagazine columnist Shela Dean is a Relationship Coach and speaker. She has counseled more than 2,000 couples since 1983 and is the author of Frequent Foreplay Miles, Your Ticket to Total Intimacy! a guide to improving intimacy for couples.

Shela began studying the dynamics of personal relationships during her two-decade career as an estate and family attorney before retiring from law to begin relationship coaching in 2004. Her unique blend of humor, insight, and practical meat-and-potatoes approach helps couples find a better way to navigate the friendly, and sometimes not-so-friendly, skies of life. And have a darned good time doing it.
